Stop local government from making more problems
Issue: Transfer Tax increase proposal. Delaware currently has the one of the highest transfer taxes in the nation and House Bill 298 proposes to allow a .28% increase to fund community college infrastructure…. which will open the door for future increases for other organizations. Voters recently shut down Chris Coons proposed increase of NCC transfer tax and now the state wants to pick our pockets. Please call before 3/20 and let them know you are a voter and that you oppose HB-298.
Issue: PFA protected class proposal. A Senate liberal in Dover has proposed a bill that would make woman who file a PFA (no-contact order) against a spouse or other individual a protected class. If the bill goes through a female facing eviction could simply file against anyone and the courts would not be able to evict even though the landlord was not party to or defendant on the filing. The landlord would still be responsible for their mortgage, could not collect rent and could not remedy the situation in court. Please call, let them know you are a voter and that you oppose SB-110.
What to do about it
Please, take a moment to be involved, pick up the phone and call your representative NOW. That is the ONLY way we can stop problems like this. The typical citizen will not take action and hope someone else will……and that is what politicians with personal agenda’s take advantage of. Don’t be the victim, call today.

Note: I have created this web page just for such issues that will offer specific information and petitions that can be printed and circulated. I am also thinking of an email broadcast that is strictly limited to keeping the public informed of similar issues and what they need to do to take action. I welcome you comments regarding my providing these services or any additional issues that you may wish to have me include at gene-politics@realtyexecutives.com |
